Source: archive.org: Shiva Purana - English TranslationCaraṇāmbhoja (चरणाम्भोज) refers to the “lotus feet” (of Śiva), according to the Śivapurāṇa 2.3.49 (“The delusion of Brahmā”).—Accordingly, as the Gods eulogised Śiva: “[...] You are Truth, Brahman and Consciousness. You are imperishable, from whom have originated the beginning, the end and the middle of visible worlds, even I too. These visible things are not the true ones. The sages, desirous of liberation, worship and meditate upon your lotus feet (caraṇāmbhoja). They are steady in their resolve. They avoid attachment on either side. [...]”.
