Source: Wikisource: A dictionary of Sanskrit grammarDadhipayaādi (दधिपयआदि).—A class of compound words headed by the word दधिपयस् (dadhipayas) which are not compounded as समाहारद्वन्द्व (samāhāradvandva) which ends in the neuter gender and singular number; e.g. दधिपयसी, शिववैश्रवणौ, श्रद्धातपसी (dadhipayasī, śivavaiśravaṇau, śraddhātapasī) etc.; cf. Kas. on P.II. 4.14.
Vyakarana (व्याकरण, vyākaraṇa) refers to Sanskrit grammar and represents one of the six additional sciences (vedanga) to be studied along with the Vedas. Vyakarana concerns itself with the rules of Sanskrit grammar and linguistic analysis in order to establish the correct context of words and sentences.
