Source: Brill: Śaivism and the Tantric Traditions (yoga)Daśakalā (दशकला) refers to the “ten digits” (of the fire), according to the Amṛtasiddhi, a 12th-century text belonging to the Haṭhayoga textual tradition.—Accordingly, “Endowed with ten digits (daśakalā—kalābhir daśabhir), in the middle of the sphere of the sun in the region of the stomach dwells fire, which digests food. Fire is the sun; the sun is fire. The two look almost the same [but] differ subtly”.
