Verse 2.720
Sanskrit text and transliteration:
तस्मात्कूटस्थविज्ञानं प्रत्याख्याताखिलद्वयम् ।
आनन्दं ब्रह्मणो विद्वान्न बिभेति कुतश्चन ॥ ७२० ॥
tasmātkūṭasthavijñānaṃ pratyākhyātākhiladvayam |
ānandaṃ brahmaṇo vidvānna bibheti kutaścana || 720 ||
English translation of verse 2.720:
So, the enlightened man, who knows the bliss of Brahman, the immutable consciousness, from which all duality has been negated, is not afraid of anything whatsoever.
Notes:
Deviating from Śaṅkara’s commentary, Sureśvara began in verse (608) an independent discussion whether there is any scope for injunction or meditation in respect of the knowledge of Brahman imparted by the assertive Upanishadic texts. This discussion is now concluded with this verse.
Since the knowledge imparted by the Upaniṣad leads to the highest end, there is no need of injunction or meditation thereto.
