The Sanskrit text and English translation of the Brihat Jataka of Varahamihira.
Verse 4.4
दिवाकरेन्द्वोः स्मरगौ कुजार्कजौ गदप्रदा पुद्गलयोषितोस्तदा ।
व्यय स्वगौ मृत्युकरौ युतौ तथा तदेकदृष्ट्या मरणाय कल्पितौ ॥ ४ ॥
divākarendvoḥ smaragau kujārkajau gadapradā pudgalayoṣitostadā |
vyaya svagau mṛtyukarau yutau tathā tadekadṛṣṭyā maraṇāya kalpitau || 4 ||
Mars and Saturn being in the 7th house from the Sun and Moon gives diseases of the male and female, [respectively from the Sun and the Moon]. Hence, the 12th and 2nd houses joined the two producers of death (Mars and Saturn) [or] with the aspect on one of them. In that manner is the arrangement for death.
