Verse 26.8
जन्मादिशेल् लग्नगे वीर्यगे वा छायाङ्गुलघ्नेऽर्कहते अवशिष्टम् ।
आसीनसुप्तोत्थिततिष्ठताभं जायासुखाज्ञोदयगं प्रदिष्टम् ॥ ८॥
janmādiśel lagnage vīryage vā chāyāṅgulaghne'rkahate avaśiṣṭam |
āsīnasuptotthitatiṣṭhatābhaṃ jāyāsukhājñodayagaṃ pradiṣṭam || 8||
The birth (lagna) should be indicated when [a planet] is at a particular degree in the lagna with strength or when multiplied by the digits of a shadow and divided by 12, the remainder is the birth (lagna). With the [querent] seated, asleep, risen, and standing is the house [of birth] indicated situated the 7th, 4th, 10th, or 1st.
