Part 24 - Treatment for enlargement of spleen and liver (23): Prana-vallabha rasa

Four tolas, each, of iron, copper, incinerated cowri-shell, copper sulphate, hingu, triphala, roots of snuhi. javakshara, croton-seeds, borax, and tribrit are to be rubbed together with goat’s milk and made into pills, lour raktis, in weight, each, to be taken with water or honey. Other accompaniments may be used having regard to the condition of the disease, the doses, and the short coming of the medicine in particular cases. This medicine cures jaundice, anemia, anaha, shlipada (elephantiasis or filaria), tumour, galaganda, gandamala (scrofula), carbuncle, apachi, batarakta, itches, boils, and other skin-diseases. It is a very goad medicine for jaundice.
