Source: archive.org: Catalogue of Pancaratra Agama TextsHomapratiṣṭhā (होमप्रतिष्ठा) refers to a variety of “sanctification ceremonies” (for constructions and buildings), as discussed in chapter 41 of the Pauṣkarasaṃhitā: a Pāñcarātra text of almost 5900 verses divided into forty-three chapters presented as a frame-work dialogue between Pauṣkara and Bhagavān dealing with the esoteric meaning of maṇḍala-designs, worship routines and temple-building.—Description of the chapter [nānādharma-pratiṣṭhāpana]: Pauṣkara then asks about the “activation” [saṃsthāpana] of the above [i.e., the pedestal, image and building] by infusing into them the power of mantras (1). [...] Still another variety is called homapratiṣṭhā, in which by the ritual employment of holy mantras and sanctified offerings into the mystic fire, God’s power is concentrated and there tapped (160-188).
