(synonym: Triumfetta bartramia Linn.) or “diamond burbark” from the Malvaceae or “mallows” family of flowering plants, according to verse 4.201-202 of the 13th-century Raj Nighantu or Rājanighaṇṭu.
Jhiñjhirīṭā is mentioned as having six synonyms: Kaṇṭaphalī, Pītapuṣpā, Jhiñjhirā, Huḍaromā, Āśrayaphalā and Vṛttā.
