D. called लघुपरिभाषावृत्ति (laghuparibhāṣāvṛtti) in contrast with the बृहत्परिभाषावृत्ति (bṛhatparibhāṣāvṛtti) of सीरदेव (sīradeva). The Vŗtti is named 'Lalitā' also, by the author.
Vyakarana (व्याकरण, vyākaraṇa) refers to Sanskrit grammar and represents one of the six additional sciences (vedanga) to be studied along with the Vedas.
