Sek. Pari. I05, laying down that when a question arises as to which of the two words लक्षणोक्त (lakṣaṇokta) (arrived at by certain changes or modifications) and प्रतिपदोक्त (pratipadokta), (directly expressed) be accepted, the latter should be preferred.
