1) Mātrāśitīya (मात्राशितीय) refers to one of the chapters of the Sūtrasthāna of the Carakasaṃhitā which enjoys a prime position among Ayurvedic treatises and is written in the form of advices of the sage Ātreya to the sage Agniveśa. The Carakasaṃhitā contains eight sections. [...] Other two chapters viz. mātrāśitīya and tasyāśitīya discuss the quantity of food intake in general.

2) Mātrāśitīya (मात्राशितीय) also refers to a chapter of the Sūtrasthāna of the 5th century Aṣṭāṅgahṛdaya by Vāgbhaṭa. In the eighth chapter mātrāśitīya, different styles of food intake like samāśana, adhyaśana and viṣamāśana are described.
