Narasiṃhajanmadinotsava (नरसिंहजन्मदिनोत्सव) refers to the “festival of Narasiṃha’s birthday”, as discussed in the thirteenth chapter of the Īśvarasaṃhitā (printed edition), a Pāñcarātra work in 8200 verses and 24 chapters dealing with topics such as routines of temple worship, major and minor festivals, temple-building and initiation.—Description of the chapter [sakalotsava-vidhi]: The following festivals are enumerated and described in this chapter: kṛṣṇajanmadinotsava or jayantī-utsava (1-86); Rāma’s, Narasiṃha’s and Varāha’s birthdays [e.g., narasiṃhajanmadinotsava]—which are celebrated in much the same way as the preceding (86-90); [...].
