Nīlābīja (नीलाबीज) or Nīlābījamantra is the name of a Mantra discussed in chapter 21 of the Śeṣasaṃhitā: a Pāñcarātra text comprising 2800 Sanskrit verses narrated by Śeṣa (=Ananta) to Nārada and dealing primarily with the use of the appropriate mantras for various occasions such as jayantī celebrations.—Description of chapter 21: Śeṣa finishes the survey of mantras by describing the bhūbīja-mantra (1-7a, 58b-64a) [...]. A section on the destruction of the world is inserted here (98-119). Then follow sections on the “meaning” of devatā (120-138), and on the nīlābīja-mantra (139- 148a).
