Source: Wikisource: A dictionary of Sanskrit grammarRadhādi (रधादि).—A class of eight roots headed by the root रध् (radh) which allow the addition of the augment इ (i) (इट् (iṭ)) optionally to the ardhadhatuka affix beginning with any consonant except य् (y), placed , after them; e.g. रघिता रद्धा, त्रता, तर्त्पा तर्पिता (raghitā raddhā, tratā, tartpā tarpitā) etc. cf. P.VII.2.35 and VII.2.45.
Vyakarana (व्याकरण, vyākaraṇa) refers to Sanskrit grammar and represents one of the six additional sciences (vedanga) to be studied along with the Vedas. Vyakarana concerns itself with the rules of Sanskrit grammar and linguistic analysis in order to establish the correct context of words and sentences.
