Source: archive.org: Shiva Purana - English TranslationRavisaṃkramaṇa (रविसंक्रमण) or Ravisaṅkramaṇa refers to the “period of transit of the sun from one Zodiac to another”, according to Śivapurāṇa 1.15. Accordingly, regarding the benefit in the rites of Devayajña:—“[...] A holy day accords a normal benefit to a pure-souled devotee. O Scholars, the period of transit of the sun from one Zodiac to another (ravisaṃkramaṇa) yields ten times more benefit than that”.
