Prajāpati Viśvakarmā gave in marriage to Priyavrata, his two daughters Surūpā and Barhiṣmatī, who were exceedingly beautiful and good-natured. By the first wife, ten sons were born to him. Devī Bhāgavata, Skandha 8).
