Source: Wikisource: A dictionary of Sanskrit grammarSaṃbaddhārtha (संबद्धार्थ).—With senses (of the two words) merely connected with each other and not completely mixed into each other; cf. संगतार्थं समर्थं संसृष्टार्थं समर्थं संप्रेक्षितार्थं समर्थं संबद्धार्थं समर्थमिति । (saṃgatārthaṃ samarthaṃ saṃsṛṣṭārthaṃ samarthaṃ saṃprekṣitārthaṃ samarthaṃ saṃbaddhārthaṃ samarthamiti |) ... कः पुनरिह बध्नात्यर्थः । संबद्ध इत्युच्यते यो रज्ज्वा अयसा वा कीले व्यतिषक्तो भवति (kaḥ punariha badhnātyarthaḥ | saṃbaddha ityucyate yo rajjvā ayasā vā kīle vyatiṣakto bhavati), M. Bh. on P. II. 1,1. Vart.4. This संबद्धार्थत्व (saṃbaddhārthatva) is connectcd with the definition व्यपेक्षा (vyapekṣā) out of the two definitions एकांर्थीभाव (ekāṃrthībhāva) and व्यपेक्षा (vyapekṣā) cited with respect to the word सामर्थ्य (sāmarthya).
Vyakarana (व्याकरण, vyākaraṇa) refers to Sanskrit grammar and represents one of the six additional sciences (vedanga) to be studied along with the Vedas. Vyakarana concerns itself with the rules of Sanskrit grammar and linguistic analysis in order to establish the correct context of words and sentences.
