It is said to be brilliant like a million moons. According to the Śrīmatottara this is the seed-syllable of sovereign glory (śriyābīja). It gives royal power (śrī), satisfaction (puṣṭi), beauty, good fortune (saubhāgya) and pleases kings. It gives all people pleasure (āhlāda) and bestows every accomplishment. Without it, one cannot acquire wealth (dhanasiddhi).
Shakta (शाक्त, śākta) or Shaktism (śāktism) represents a tradition of Hinduism where the Goddess (Devi) is revered and worshipped. Shakta literature includes a range of scriptures, including various Agamas and Tantras, although its roots may be traced back to the Vedas.
