Sudarśanārcana (सुदर्शनार्चन) refers to the “worship of Sudarśana”, as discussed in the seventh chapter of the Īśvarasaṃhitā (printed edition), a Pāñcarātra work in 8200 verses and 24 chapters dealing with topics such as routines of temple worship, major and minor festivals, temple-building and initiation.—Description of the chapter [lakṣmī-sudarśana-arcana-vidhi]: [...] Turning to Sudarśana, the personified Discus of Viṣṇu may be separately worshipped also. Many good effects and healings can be secured from worship of Sudarśana (91-99). The description of Sudarśana is then given, along with mantras for invoking his presence and power (100-151), followed by an outline of the steps in sudarśana-pūjā (152-218). Note, however, the śayanāsana-portion of the regular liturgy is never to be accorded to Sudarśana (221a).
