Source: Shodhganga: Temples and cult of Sri Rama in TamilnaduTancaimamani is short or Tancaimamanikkoyil (Great Bell Temple of Tanccai) refers to one of the 108 divyadesas according to Priyavaccan Pillai’s compendium of the Ramayana based on the Nalayirativviyappirapantam.—Tancaimamanikkoyil is a later of three temples for Nilamekap Perumal, Manikkunrap Perumal and Narasimha. All three temples are found in the same complex on the bank of Vennaru, close to Tancavur. Within the city, few temples for Rama are found that are of later origin, Vijayanagaa-Nāyaka.
