Source: WorldCat: Rāj nighaṇṭuTrāyantī (त्रायन्ती) is another name for Trāyamāṇā, a medicinal plant identified with Gentiana kurroo Royle. from the Gentianaceae family of flowering plants, according to verse 5.57-59 of the 13th-century Raj Nighantu or Rājanighaṇṭu. The fifth chapter (parpaṭādi-varga) of this book enumerates sixty varieties of smaller plants (kṣudra-kṣupa). Together with the names Trāyantī and Trāyamāṇā, there are a total of sixteen Sanskrit synonyms identified for this plant.
