Source: Shodhganga: Mankhaka a sanskrit literary genius (natya)Uktanimitta (उक्तनिमित्त) refers to one of the two divisions of Vibhāvanā (peculiar causation): a type of Alaṃkāra (figure of speech).—When an effect is said to arise without a cause, it is Vibhāvanā, which is two-fold according as the reason is mentioned or not. The twofold divisions of Vibhāvanā are—Uktanimitta and Anuktanimitta.
Natyashastra (नाट्यशास्त्र, nāṭyaśāstra) refers to both the ancient Indian tradition (shastra) of performing arts, (natya—theatrics, drama, dance, music), as well as the name of a Sanskrit work dealing with these subjects. It also teaches the rules for composing Dramatic plays (nataka), construction and performance of Theater, and Poetic works (kavya).
