Source: OpenEdition books: Vividhatīrthakalpaḥ (Kāvya)Vāsaṇiā (वासणिआ) in Prakrit (i.e., daviṇa-vāsaṇiā) refers to a “purse (containing money)”, as is mentioned in the Vividhatīrthakalpa by Jinaprabhasūri (13th century A.D.): an ancient text devoted to various Jaina holy places (tīrthas).—Note: This is an unattested word Pāiasaddamahaṇṇavo. Cf. Sanskrit vāsana “box, cassette”.
