Source: Wikisource: A dictionary of Sanskrit grammarVibhaktyartha (विभक्त्यर्थ).—lit. the sense of a case-affix, as also of a personal affix; the term is applied to the Kāraka Prakarana or Kāraka chapter or topic in grammar where senses of the विभक्ति (vibhakti) affixes are fully discussed and illustrated; cf. विभक्त्यर्थाः (vibhaktyarthāḥ) a chapter in the Siddhānta-kaumudi of Bhaṭṭojī Dīkṣita.
Vyakarana (व्याकरण, vyākaraṇa) refers to Sanskrit grammar and represents one of the six additional sciences (vedanga) to be studied along with the Vedas. Vyakarana concerns itself with the rules of Sanskrit grammar and linguistic analysis in order to establish the correct context of words and sentences.
