Vṛttabimbalakṣaṇa (वृत्तबिम्बलक्षण) (lit. “chapter on design of the outer disk of the navapadma-maṇḍala) is the name of chapter 11 of the Pauṣkarasaṃhitā: a Pāñcarātra text of almost 5900 verses divided into forty-three chapters presented as a frame-work dialogue between Pauṣkara and Bhagavān dealing with the esoteric meaning of maṇḍala-designs, worship routines and temple-building.—Description of the chapter [vṛttabimbalakṣaṇa]: In the maṇḍala here taken up containing nine lotuses, the best kind will always have the central lotus-motif of the nine predominating over the others by its size—since it alone represents Vasudeva, and the eight surrounding lotus-motifs contain comparatively lesser powers (1-12).
