Source: Shodhganga: a concise history of Sanskrit Chanda literature1) Vṛttaprakāśa (वृत्तप्रकाश) is work on Sanskrit metrics by Āśādhara (1178-1243 C.E.), the famous Jain author. The reference is available in Praśastisaṅgraha where it is quoted as the work of Āśādhara, but the copy of the text is yet to be discovered.
2) Vṛttaprakāśa (वृत्तप्रकाश) is the name of a work ascribed to Umāpati Tripāṭhin related to the topics of Sanskrit prosody (chandas) but having an unknown period of composition.
Chandas (छन्दस्) refers to Sanskrit prosody and represents one of the six Vedangas (auxiliary disciplines belonging to the study of the Vedas). The science of prosody (chandas-shastra) focusses on the study of the poetic meters such as the commonly known twenty-six metres mentioned by Pingalas.
